THE DISPLACED #1: A Qianmen resident, who would only give his name as Mr Qi, stands defiantly in the two-storey house where he and his family have lived for over 40 years. The 52-year-old says he was given only three days to move out before the demolition crew arrived to tear down the building that once housed 32 families and 111 children. "They destroyed my home, not caring if I have any other place to live," said Mr Qi.
